I'm another whos read the Twilight series. Going online and reading points about it made me realise it's pretty bad.
My mum bought me that other book she just brought out, Bree Tanner.
A twipire DOES NOT become a "real vampire" by drinking from humans.

Ahaha, I love that name! Twipire! So fitting, since they're not really vampires.

Ashleigh, that 'His Dark Materials' is like a series, and I think the last one is the Golden Compass. I like that one And as for Sian, about forgiving Johnny Depp or whoever if they were in your room when you woke up, have you seen New Moon (the film)? 'Coz Taylor Lautner is so fiit... (Wait, did I just say that on the internet? :S)

Eh, I'm not a fan of Lautner (or post-HP Pattinson). Isn't he like, 17? It'd feel uber-weird, I'm four years older than him. He looks like he's carved out of marble or something, I just think it's unnatural for someone so young to have that physique! Don't really know why. I am a fan of muscularness though, in some cases. Rafa Nadal's arms are to DIE for (tennis player), and I have an entirely inappropriate crush on Cristiano Ronaldo even though I hate him with a violent, burning passion. I'd quite like to kiss him, then punch his lights out, but that is another story.
As for books... I read 'A Handful of Dust' by Evelyn Waugh for my exams and it's not bad at all. Lots of upper-class British stiff upper lips, followed by a random trip to Peru in the 1930s. Pip pip and all that.

Just read a wonderful book given to my by a friend. It's called "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society". I know it is a funny name, but the book is fantastic. It's entirely letters, but don't let that put you off. The voice of the protagonist is really engrossing. I was hooked immediately...it took my friend 4 letters. You won't want to put it down once you start...especially if you have any love for reading.
P.S. I hear you about Twilight. Talk about the WORST thing to happen to young girls just starting to read books. They get Bella and Edward to idolize...while I enjoyed the read of the books, as a strong woman who came from a weak girl, I wanted to call Stephanie Meyer's up and yell at her. However, The Host was a much better book...still borderline...but a lot more livable.
