Here is a list of words you might encounter in the forum and what they mean.
Spamming: Posting irrelevant content in a post. Advertisements for a clothing retailer in a Sims 3 Legacy board, for example, would be considered spam. Things like posts with nothing but smiley faces or rude words are also spam.
Flooding: Consistently being the last poster in every single thread ALL THE TIME. It's okay to be talkative and involved, but if it gets to the point where a person's posts do not contribute anything of real value to the thread and the person is clearly only posting to up their post count or see their name listed on every board, that is considered flooding and is not allowed.
Flaming: Insulting, harassing or otherwise bullying another member. Posts which contain insults or rude, hurtful, discriminatory comments towards another member is strictly forbidden and will be dealt with harshly. Insulting another person's race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, culture or customs is also considered flaming and will not be tolerated.
Double-Posting: This is essentially posting multiple times in a row without allowing someone else to post in between. Please don't do this. It makes the thread look messy and spammy. If you'd like to add something to your post, please use the Modify Post button located in the top right corner of your post. Bumping up a thread is also considered double-posting. Please just let a thread die if it does not have enough interest to keep it afloat.
Bumping: Often, if a thread starts to slip to the bottom of a forum, members may decide to bump it back to the top of the forum by posting in it with the word "bump" or something else of that nature. Please avoid doing this. Threads get old and die off. It happens.
Trolling: This is when someone enters a forum or chat room solely for the purpose of starting arguments and stirring up trouble. Trollers will also be dealt with harshly.
