Hello. I'm Kaitlin and I'm a huge Sims 3 fan! I'm 13 and I live in Falkirk, which is one of the most wettest and boring places on this earth! I don't have any pets (although I'm a dog person) and I'm an only child. My main hobby is reading. I have read all the Junior and most of the Teenage section on my local library (which is, addmitedly, small but I still think that's an achievement) My favourite books at the moment are the Noughts and Crosses series by Malorie Blackman and I quite like the Twilight series too. I enjoy horror and comedy films but I'm not one for a romantic comedy My favourite subjects and Maths and English (I know, major geek!) and I enjoy Art, although I can't draw anything which even remotely resembles a human ;D

Welcome, Kaitlin! I also love reading. I love to write, too. I pretty much devoured my school library as well, and was disappointed that I no longer had a large supply of books at my fingertips after I graduated from high school. My favourites as a kid were the Pendragon series by D. J. MacHale (I think) and of course, Harry Potter (it still is one of my favourite series, to be honest). Now that I'm older, I've become a fan of my aunt's writing (Ami McKay, if you want to google her. ) and Juliet Mariller, whose writing is pure art. I did like Twilight until this crazed teenie-bop pop culture sprang up around it and I couldn't walk into Zellers without seeing Edward Cullen's face looming over me. I've shied away from the series because of that, but I still think the movie was well done. Anyway, I could go on forever about books, so I'll zip it now, heh heh. Welcome to the forum!

I totally understand where you're coming from with the Twilight books - I think I'm the only person in my school who read them before the first one was turned into a movie. Everyone just seems to like them because of Robert Pattinson. I think the Harry Potters will always be liked, although the films are sometimes a bit of a let-down. I think the books are far better. I can't believe you're actually related to an author, that's so cool! I also like writing, but I get told I have an over-active imagination Oh well, it comes in handy when I'm writing fiction ;D I better go now, if i go on for much longer then my over-active imagination will kick in and you'll all think I'm weird. You would be right

Take that as a compliment. People who are scolded for having an over-active imagination as children grow up to become the world's greatest artists.

Hi Kaitlin! I'm a lot older than the target market (like, twice as old) but I like the Noughts and Crosses series too.

Thanks Ashleigh - I am quite good at Art, I just have problems with humans. I can draw alien versions though ;D And rad, I think that's the great thing about the Nought and Crosses books - they can be read by anyone. I have cousins who are older than me, and when I told them to read this series they scoffed and said that they were far too old for that kind of nonsense. They are now totally hooked on them and have bought copies because they couldn't wait for the library to get them ;D They've still not said thanks to me though
