Birthday Plans!

So Reflections' first birthday is coming up in about a month (June 22nd, to be exact), and I thought that deserved some kind of celebration.

This is basically a brainstorming thread where everyone can get together and discuss what they want to do for Reflections' birthday.

Here's my idea. Run with it as is, offer suggestions to improve it, or shoot it down entirely.

I was thinking of having a little online party here in the forum. I'd set up a birthday thread here where everyone can get together to celebrate.

Bring virtual cakes, presents, balloons and any other fun party paraphernalia you desire. This is a birthday party, after all! You can even make your Simself, dress them up for the party and post their picture here to really make it seem like we're attending a real party. You can also just show up to chat, no pictures or virtual gifts required, heh heh.

I'll set a time for the party to start and it'll end whenever the guests (that's you) need to return to RL.

I'd like the party to actually be on Reflections' birthday which is June 22nd. That's the day I posted the first chapter of The Charm Legacy, but if this is a bad day for a lot of people, we can change it.

So basically, I need some interest in the idea, a show of hands from those who'd be interested in attending, and some feedback on what a good time for everyone would be. Remember, I have a large amount of readers from both North America and the UK (and possibly many other places, too), so the aim is to find a time that is a nice compromise between all the timezones.

So, then... yay or nay?

If you're interested, POST HERE! Even if you have to register an account. I need to know who's interested in this so I know whether it's even worth it to put this online birthday party on.

I'd love have a Reflections party! (It's hard to believe that a whole other year has flooown by! )

So if the party is on a Tuesday, then my suggestion is that the party start around 4:30pm, Eastern, so it would give people in my time-zone an oppertonity to return from school/work...but the issue is, in other places it may be earlier or later and therefore may not work for them.

But anyways, anywhere after 3:00pm and before 9:30pm Eastern is good for me.

Yeah, those are best for me, too, but I live in Canada.

Tuesday may be a bad day. School/work might interfere quite a bit. Perhaps have it a couple days earlier on the Sunday? That should give people a wider window of time to show up.

More suggestion, anyone?

Great idea Ashleigh. *almost called you Ash there,* and Sunday would be waaaaaay better for me, then I wouldn't have to worry about getting home from school and skipping my chores for a party. (Its waay worth it though!)

Out of curiousity, what time zone are you in? Because I'm in Ontario, Canada.

Heh, won't say anything more specific than Canada. I had a stalker once and I almost needed to get the police involved. Since then, I've been really paranoid about how much info I give out to people online.

We're pretty close, though.

Oh, and thanks for not calling me Ash. ^-^ It's a pet peeve I have. I won't rip peoples' heads off if they call me that, but it does make me grimace unpleasantly.

Okay, we'll change it to the Sunday. That's pretty good. It's a more flexible day for people, I think.

I agree, and I wasn't really going to die if you you said no, I just wanted to ask so maybe we could work out a time that would fit us both, but now that Tuesday has been replaced with Tuesday, no need.

I rememeber reading somewhere that you dispised being called Ash so I always have to add the "leigh" part everynow and then.

I tend to mention it in my introductory posts on forums, so you probably saw that on TS3.com or Boolprop... maybe Crazy Town, if you're there, but I left that place recently.

Okay, my apologies for the double-post, but I need to be sure of who is interested in this Birthday Party idea. If there's only two or three people interested, there's not much of a point in having the party.

Okay well since the birthday party for Reflections would have been tomorrow, and not a whole lot of people have shown much interest, we won't be celebrating.

I suppose I could still put a thread up and see who stops by to chat, but I was kind of hoping for some more enthusiasm.

Er... no idea. I know when I wake up in the morning and say Good Morning to my Twitter followers, I have to add Good Afternoon for my UK followers. Otherwise, I have no idea. >.<
